The Seventh Floor – Glimpse No. 5 (2006) by Prof. Ri Meuser von Eschmar. Museum-quality framed art print, 28x40 in (70x100 cm), in a black aluminum frame, ready to hang.
One glimpse, a few strokes … a moment of LIFE.
THE SERIES
In 2006, at nearly 80, Ri Meuser von Eschmar exhibited on the seventh floor of the Pascha in Cologne. There she made what she called glimpses: quick, fleeting impressions of people we rarely see, and of work most of us can hardly imagine. She worked on site in body painting and in raw, dynamic chalk drawings. The sketches carry the motto "Quo vadis Transe" and the note "Ri at the Pascha", September 2006. Because of the strong response, the exhibition ran well into 2007.
Where everyone expects red, she painted in blue. Not red light and cliché, but calm, thoughtfulness, sometimes loneliness. These pictures do not judge and put nothing on display. A late work full of wisdom.
Her work has been shown in more than 350 exhibitions worldwide, including Harrods in London and the Galleria dell'Arte in Florence.
