A mythological creature that never took itself too seriously.

Painted in 2001, "The Elephant of Poseidon" is one of Ri Meuser von Eschmar's rare works of playful fantasy — a creature from the deep, rendered in her Mono Sgraffito technique with pale, dreamlike colours and the delicate line work that defined her hand. Mythology met with a quiet smile.

Her work was exhibited in over 350 shows worldwide, including Harrods London and the Galleria dell'Arte Florence.
